My progress is gone. Can I get it back?
If you have iCloud enabled, your save syncs automatically across devices. Check Settings → Apple ID → iCloud and make sure TapToCode is toggled on. If you deleted and reinstalled the app, your iCloud save should restore within a few minutes of opening the app.
How do I restore my purchases?
Open the app, go to Settings → Purchases → Restore Purchases. This will re-verify all past purchases with the App Store and re-unlock your cosmetics, ad removal, and any other items.
How do I remove ads?
Go to Shop → Remove Ads or Settings → Purchases → Remove Ads. This is a one-time purchase that permanently removes all advertisements. All rewarded ad placements will auto-grant their rewards instantly.
The game feels slow. Am I doing something wrong?
Early game is meant to be tap-heavy. Focus on buying tap upgrades first, then automation. Once you unlock skill trees at Mid-Level Developer, progression speeds up significantly. Tip: keep your combo multiplier up by tapping steadily!
What does "Reboot" do?
Reboot is the prestige mechanic. Once you reach AI Overseer, you can reset your progress in exchange for Legacy Points — permanent multipliers that make your next run faster. Your achievements, cosmetics, and Legacy Shop purchases are kept.
How do offline earnings work?
Your automation upgrades keep earning XP while the app is closed, up to a maximum of 4 hours (upgradeable via the DevOps skill tree). When you return, you'll see a "While You Were Away" screen with your earnings.
How do I sync between devices?
Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID on both devices and that iCloud is enabled for TapToCode. Your save syncs automatically via CloudKit.
How do I reset my game?
Go to Settings → Danger Zone → Reset All Progress. This permanently deletes your game state, cosmetics, achievements, and save data. This action cannot be undone.
